To all the folks who enjoy this picture so much, thank you all very much, but this piece is SO old that it no longer reflects my current level of skill at all. It's time for a huge update and major cleanup like no one's business. I've been hunkering to do this so bad you won't believe. So keep an eye out for majorly updated Madcat painting in the future. Otherwise, I'll keep it here in my gallery since it somehow has a knack for attracting people.

This is a REALLY old piece I made way back in middle school. It's done a good job in standing the test of time, but it's starting to wain a lot.
This piece was greatly influence by artwork from Mechwarrior 3. For those of you who dont know, the main mech is a Madcat (or Timber Wolf) whoopin some serious tail. The Vulture in the background (although also appearing in #3) is referenced more from its model in Mechwarrior 4 as its gun arms have protective cases, as opposed to the exposed barrels from #3.
I look back and remember how primitively I made it. Although some of it is colored in markers, the majority of it is colored in crayon! Not even colored pencils, my friend... crayon!
sweet. i remember playing this game as a kid. I sucked, but the game was awsome for its day.and this picture brings it all back. ahhh...good times, good times...
As for this piece. I cannot thank you enough for doing such justice for the Timberwolf!
